Today Affirmations:

Today, I will live this day and only this day. I refuse to live the days that came before or the days that come beyond. Yesterdays are gone and Tomorrows will have their chance soon enough. Today is mine and I WILL NOT take it for granted.

Today, I will be happy. People will not only see the smile on my face, they’ll hear the smile in my voice. No one will leave my presence feeling depressed or tense.

Today, I will exercise my body. I’ll choose activity over inactivity each chance I get. If the weather allows, I’ll take a walk outdoors. If not, I’ll walk around a department store or a mall.

Today, I will grow in wisdom. I will learn something useful. I will read at least one thing that requires effort, concentration and thought. At the end of the day, my body AND my mind will have gotten a work out.

Today, I will wrap my mind around reality rather than try to wrap reality around my mind. There are times when I just have to say, “It is what it is!”, and let go. Letting go always lightens the load.

Today, I will touch someone else’s life. I will challenge myself to see how many good deeds I can do each day. (I will never lose sight of the fact that charity does, however, start at home.) Rather than asking what others can do for me, I will ask what I can do for them.

Today, I will will tell those who I love that I love them. I will stop expecting more FROM them and will start expecting more FOR them.

Today, I will cease from ever whining , “That’s not fair”. I know enough to know that each time I say the words, I am essentially saying, “I deserve so much more than I’m being given! I’m better than this! Where’s my fair share?!” I also know enough to recognize the mindlessness of this mindset.

Today, I will have some quiet time to pray, meditate and simply rest my mind, body and spirit. I am of no use to anyone if I’m of no use to myself.

Today, I will I will do AT LEAST as much as is expected of me. At home and at work, I will pull my weight and be an asset rather than a liability.

Today, I will be unafraid. I will not fear making mistakes. The only people who make mistakes are those who are doing something.

Today, I will like me!

Make each moment count double,
