The Magic Vase

I know you’ve noticed the button above with the young lady staring at you. Her name is Lori and she is fighting for her life. Her unspeakably cruel foe is cancer and it is unleashing the hounds of hell on this girl. Fortunately for her she has the tenacity and heart of a lion. Make that a lioness.

She also has a loving, wonderful husband by her side - love can conquer just about everything. She also has an ever-growing prayer chain covering the world - prayer conquers all the things even love can’t quite reach.

One can love and one can pray - and I’d never, ever underestimate either. But, I’ll be short and to the point - this couple could use some financial support. They have enough on their plates without having to worry about medical bills, etc. Let’s try to take away as much of this burden as possible.

They have books to satisfy every conceivable interest - but they have a lot more than just books!

Do you know a special young person who’ll be going to school this fall? Amazon has textbooks, reference books, calculators, software, etc. A totally MAD gift for a kid going off to college would be a digital camera. Are you kidding me?! They’d be able to document every move of one of the most important times of their life. This’d be especially great if they have a blog. An iPod would also earn you an “Oh my God!” and a bear hug.

ALSO, keep in mind while there that Christmas is less than 5 months away. You’d be terribly brilliant to start your shopping now. You’d be making more than just one Christmas brighter.

Go to their sites and treat them as you would members of your own family. Because in the grand scheme of things, aren’t they?
