Law of Reciprocity

“I believed then, as I believe today and shall to the
end of my days, that when a man truly works with
a principle, such as the golden rule, that principle
makes him the representative of a great and positive
working force. Then a creative force of the universe
is back of him, for the principle is doing the work,
while he merely attends to the details.”

- J. C. Penney, “Fifty Years with the Golden Rule” 1950

I read this quote just moments ago, and I couldn’t help but pass it on.

Read it, believe it, live it.

Here’s something that we, as a family, live by. You need help…holler.

You need food, come on by. You need a ride, let’s go. You need me to put myself out for you and you can’t even begin to even think that maybe someday you’ll be able to pay me back. Who cares ? What do you need ?

Live like there’s no tomorrow, help others, even if it’ll hurt. Put yourself out and work like a dog.

At the end of the day, everybody you came in contact with will be saying their prayers and maybe you’ll be in them. Maybe the Universe will remember that you went above and beyond. But if it doesn’t, who cares ?

If you’re doing it and keeping score, it will not work. You have to give just because you could. Time, effort, money…whatever it is, if it was yours and you gave it freely, you did good.

Whatever you do today, you’ll have to sleep with tonite. ~ Aaron Tippin

Take care of your details and quit worrying about the score.

Life’s tough…blog hard !
